Find your fire

A new client signed up with us a few months ago because he noticed he had gained a lot of weight over the last few years, and it was negatively affecting his quality of life.

He KNEW he needed to do something. And rather than just letting “life happen” he decided to take control and do something about it.

But (he would totally agree with me on this), when he first started, he wasn’t that into it, even when I hauled out all my favourite “fun” coach tricks!

Getting his workout done was just another thing to check off his to-do list.

BUT … that all changed when one day we started talking about his school days. How active he used to be and how he made team in multiple different sports. He wanted to be active again, play sports, and have the energy to get through the day without depending on ten coffees and energy drinks.

I could see how excited he was, so we started focusing his workouts and habits on building up his core strength, stamina & endurance. So he could start playing sports again and get the day-to-day work done without depending on coffee and energy drinks … and he was on FIRE!

That’s the power of having a goal that gets you excited – of something that adds value and fun to your life, and that has meaning!

This is one of my favourite ways to turn new healthy habits into a real LIFESTYLE change… because these are the goals that directly impact your quality of life.

The trick is to choose things that get you FIRED UP and EXCITED …

Because this can spur you on to be more active … upgrade your food intake for more energy and vitality … and open yourself up to POSSIBILITY.
