How to get back on track
I’m going to tell you a little story about a crazy week I had a while back. And I’m sharing this because I’m 99.9% sure you can relate.
My schedule was OUT OF CONTROL (due to circumstances beyond my control).
Which meant:
● I didn’t get a chance to work out as much as usual
● My food choices were not great (oops)
● My sleep was TERRIBLE …
All of which made everything even more stressful, which made me crave even MORE junk, which made my sleep even worse, and which made me feel too tired to work out.
And on and on it went.
When the weekend finally came, all I wanted to do was order takeout and binge-watch The Office.
But then I had a little talk with myself.
Yes, I would let myself relax and unwind on Friday night.
But I also knew that if I didn’t take ONE STEP … make ONE GOOD DECISION … to snap myself out of this spiral, and I was heading in the exact opposite direction of my goals.
So the next morning, even though I didn’t want to, I woke up early and went for a walk while listening to one of my favorite personal development audiobooks. Then I had a quick shower, made myself a smoothie, and did a quick 30 mins workout.
Which made it easier to take the next healthy action.
🙌Happy ending: By the end of the weekend, I felt like my old self again and was able to slide back into my regular routine. What a relief!
If you’re feeling that RIGHT NOW, you’re in the same boat I was… don’t let one bad day or week get in your way.
Your goals are too important. You’ve got this!
