AIR FRIED CHICKEN SUSHI

Ingredients:

  • 150g boneless chicken breast
  • 50g sushi rice(raw)
  • 100ml water
  • 1 teaspoon sushi rice seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Japanese mayo
  • 1 nori sheet
  • 50g panko bread crumbs
  • 30g tempura flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To serve:

  • Japanese soy sauce
  • Wasabi paste
  • Pickle ginger

Instructions:

  • Wash the Rice well and cook with 100ml water on medium low heat. Season the rice with rice vinegar according to packet instructions.
  • Next season the chicken with salt and pepper and grill in a non-stick pan till thoroughly cooked approximately for 8- 10 minutes,
  • Once the chicken is cooked cut the chicken breast in to 2 equal rectangular long parts.
  • Now take the sea weed paper and cut it to half.
  • By the help of a sushi mat roll the maki roll inside out by placing the chicken and mayo inside and the rice outside.
  • Once done make the tempura batter by adding 3 tablespoons of water to the tempura flour.
  • Then immerse the sushi roll in to the batter and finally coat it with bread crumbs.
  • Pop the roll in to the air fryer on 180c for approximately 12 minutes.
  • Serve hot and enjoy.
